The proposal that I have for my Multi-genre Research Project is, that my topic relates mostly to a cultural interest. My topic is self confidence, I will mostly be relating to teenagers when doing this research topic, probably from the ages fifteen to eighteen. It says that I will have to interview people, and I think instead of doing just two people, I will do four; a girl and boy freshmen or sophomore, and the a girl and boy junior or senior. But, I don't know who those people will be yet, and I would rather they be people I'm not very close to, or know very well. I will probably end up doing people I know but I want to try my hardest not to, but it might be easier to do that. I think that I will be able to get the interviews sometime next week, because that gives me time this week to think and find people to interview. I don't know a whole bunch on my topic, other than that all types of people are effected by it, whether it's in a positive, or negative way. The way I plan on gathering my information is by watching documentaries, and reading a lot of peoples articles, or maybe even blogs that people with confidence issues have posted before, and if there are any statistics on something like this it might be interesting to add. The reason why I find this topics personally meaningful is because after reading one of the example papers that we looked at, it just got me thinking a lot about other people. And the way that they might feel about themselves, also I find it really intriguing on how the way other people view themselves, than by other people viewing them. It also made me start realizing how I view myself, and how I will be hard or easy on myself on the way I look or act.

So many people don't have a lot of self-confidence and that's definitely something that I think needs to change!
ReplyDeleteEveryone is beautiful in their own way!
ReplyDeleteHoped this boosted someone's self confidence
You're such a pal, Matt.
DeleteMatthew, I think you're beautiful.
DeleteThat's a really nice topic because a lot of people struggle with self confidence. I hope you find the right people to interview.
ReplyDeleteSelf confidence is something that I think a lot of people overlook. Or they think that if you're confident that you're cocky, when actually there's a huge difference. I really like this topic. How is self confidence valued in other cultures? That might be an interesting aspect to toss in.
ReplyDeleteI really like that you're looking into a topic that everyone can relate to. It's an important topic. You could look into the psychological aspect a bit and see how the brain effects self confidence.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice topic! I'm glad you are doing this because so many people today struggle with this!
ReplyDeleteI like when people talk about this topic. Because to every person dealing with this it allows them to gain back at least a fraction of their confidence.
ReplyDeleteI think this will be a really good project, and everyone will be able to relate.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an important topic. With the interviews it could go either way. You could possibly get a more honest answer if you know the person. Maybe try to mix it up. Use two people you know well and two people you don't know very well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very important topic. Many people think being confident is the same as being cocky or full of yourself, but there is a big difference and i hope your project will show them that.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting topic that seems simple but could actually be looked at many different ways.
ReplyDeleteThere was a great super bowl commercial related to women's confidence and how puberty is the most crucial time in building that. Great topic!
ReplyDeleteI can not stress enough how important it is to be confident about who and what you are! I used to struggle with not being confident at all. If you are tiny flaunt it and if you are big flaunt it and be proud of who you are!
ReplyDeleteSelf confidence is key! I love your topic.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good topic.
ReplyDeleteWhile is the "I" in Siler in the title of your blog capitalized. It's like "Kyra SIler"
Maybe you should come up with some kind of questionnaire to collect data and get more responses on how people feel and or are affected by self confidence
ReplyDeleteAwesome topic! A lot of teenagers have problems with self-esteem. You never know who you may end up helping :)
ReplyDeleteI like your topic because not everyone gives them selves enough confidence. It seems that every one is their own critic. Ill be excited to see which things you point out about what people need help with a little more confidence.
ReplyDeleteWell thought out topic! Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI like your topic, stick with it!
